My daughter
and I signed up for Steve's clinic because we both are fairly timid
riders/handlers and have ridden only a few years. We really needed
some help! We both learned on a very broke older mare and
had recently purchased younger, more athletic horses as we felt we
were ready to step up a little. Both of our horses were beginning
to push us around a little and we thought the clinic would be a good way to get
to know both horses better, gain some confidence and become better leaders
(and keep from getting hurt!!). We did not know, however how
herd bound they had become. We all had our work cut
out for us as our horses were both a handful!! Steve's
program is very well rounded and easy to learn with his help. Steve
and Francesca got my daughter and I to do things we would never have done on
our own and while we were inclined to give up at times (because of the
challenges of the herd bound behavior); they were always right
there to help and encourage us so that we could have a good
outcome! They gently pushed us through our fear so that we
could succeed. We received lots of one on one help with our horses
"herd bound" issues, and Steve worked with me and my mare
on a trailering problem we had been having. The clinic
was an awesome experience! They are also two of
the nicest people I have ever met! I recommend Steve Rother's
horsemanship clinics and would add that I only wish I had discovered him
sooner! Diane & Sarah - Otis

I have been working with Fashion every day and am pleased with how calm she is becoming. The ground work was execellent, the riding was helpful, and the bit change is an unexpected pleasure.
Thank you Steve (and Francesca).

I just wanted to thank you
both for helping me reach all of my goals with my "thirsty" Arabian,
Ali. Before the clinic started, I was hoping for Ali to load, canter, lunge
better to the right (or do anything better to the right), go through tight
spaces--and we hit all of those points. If he wasn't doing them perfectly by
the end of the clinic, we gained the tools needed to work on it by ourselves.
Thank you very much and I
look forward to doing this clinic again next year.

Comments: I talked to you at The Mane Event in Red Deer, AB and I just wanted to thank-you so much for the help with my 19 year old "Fred", as I told you he had started to buck and I was unsure how to deal with him. You told me that I needed to "lean" on him and to let him know who was in charge. I took your advise and we have been having wonderful rides together, now that we both have more confidence in my ability to be the leader. Thank-you so much!! Karen (Alberta)
“Steve Rother has been a phenomenal influence for me and
my horse Taz. Without him I do not know where we would be today.”

“Before attending a Steve Rother clinic I was in a very desperate
situation. I loved my horse, but my horse was becoming more and
more dangerous. We would have moments of success, but then they
would be gone. It was like my horse had a split personality. With
Steve guidance and support both Reno and I have overcome our fears
and frustrations. We are now experiencing what it is all about,
daily success and satisfaction! Thank you Steve!” -- B.E.

“This was the last chance for my horse Scooter. She had been
through several trainers and owners with no success. A friend referred
me to Steve. She said if anyone could help, it would be Steve. With
hesitation I signed up for the clinic. I never could have imagined
the things that I did not know about horses. Steve managed to help
Scooter become a willing partner, and more importantly he taught
me to do it to! I owe Scooter’s life and my new friendship
with her to Steve. I can’t wait to get to another clinic!”

All my life I dreamed of having horses. Once I got Bravo,
I realized that it was going to take more that dreaming to get our
relationship where I wanted it. Steve gave us the tools that we
needed to get on track. The experience was priceless! I would recommend
his clinics to anyone with a horse.” --G.W. Hood River, OR
“I had horses when I was younger, but then got out of the
horse world to raise my family. Once I got back into it, I realized
how much things had changed. The things that used to be so easy,
now scared me to death. Steve helped to restore the confidence that
I needed to ride my horse. He was very patient with me, but was
willing to push me forward when I needed it.” –J.M.

“When I first heard of Steve I thought that he was just a
cowboy that tamed mustangs. I never thought that he could help my
horse Rio and I, as I am a dressage rider. I was surely wrong. Not
only could he help me in areas of dressage that I was having difficulty
with, but he helped to improve my relationship with Rio, 100%!”

“I could barely get my horse stopped with a double bridle,
never could I have imagined doing it brideless, bareback, and in
the ocean. Steve has not only helped me and my horse Arial, he has
taken us on a journey. I have been fortunate enough to ride with
Steve in several clinics over the past 3 years. At first I thought
that his clinics might be carbon copied, but that thought was quickly
erased. He has taken me through every phase of horsemanship that
I could ever imagine, from the ground up. He has taught me how to
solve problems, work my horse at liberty, ride her everywhere with
confidence, perform many advanced maneuvers, rope cattle on her,
and even a few tricks. Every time I come back to a clinic with my
homework completed. He surprises me with even more knowledge. The
sky is the limit with Steve. It is definitely “horsemanship
without limits”! R.J. Cornelius, OR
